I was recently contacted by my former hairdresser, Brooklyn McDermott, to conduct Charisma's first product review for Younique's 3D Fiber Lash Mascara. Quite the mouthful, I know. I had heard of Younique makeup; however, I knew nothing about the brand. But let's be honest, what woman turns down mascara?
Brooklyn informed me that this mascara wasn't just my typical drugstore mascara. It was the company's #1 selling product, made from 100% natural green tea fibers. Oh, and it's safe for contact lens wearers (like myself), water-resistant and removes easily with soap and water. Ok, ok, I GUESS I'll give it a try. (I couldn't come across as a giddy, makeup enthusiast, ya'll)
When my package arrived, I was surprised to find that the mascara was actually two different tubes: the Moodstruck Transplanting Gel and the Moodstruck Natural Fibers. Kind of made we want to find my old mood ring from middle school and see if the color ever changed from blue…
Moving on. The packaging was very "younique" as it arrived in a box similar to a glasses case with slots holding both tubes. The instructions informed me that this product could be worn over your regular mascara, or simply by itself.

To get the full experience, I chose to put on a single layer of my regular mascara, then apply the 3D Fiber Lash Mascara. To do this, I was instructed to apply a layer of the Transplanting Gel, followed by a layer of the Natural Fibers and a final layer of the Transplanting Gel to secure the fibers. The process was actually fun and enjoyable as I literally watched my eyelashes transform into the long, full and luscious lashes that I always have strived to attain. *Note: not exactly attainable for me with only my drugstore mascara* It was like having fake lashes on my eyes for the first time…only, these were my ACTUAL eyelashes.

So, yes, I definitely recommend the 3D Fiber Lash Mascara for any and all women. I was only going to test the product for a week, but it's been two weeks and I'm still using it. Also, it does not matter if you have short, medium or naturally long lashes, everyone can benefit from the product.
Below, check out my eyes with no makeup (don't judge), drugstore mascara and then the 3D Fiber Lash Mascara. Trust me, it's worth the investment.
