There is no other way for me to describe my weekends other than precious. After being exhausted from the workweek and getting behind on chores and errands, I am so thankful I can catch up on Saturdays and Sundays. Even though Sunday is the closing to a two-day mini vacation, it’s the day of the week I look forward to most. My Sundays are centered on church at Calvary Chapel, followed by brunch with my besties.
Honestly, there is nothing better than a fantastic brunch with friends. It’s a time to relax, reminisce, and feel completely content. I love taking a break from my phone, sipping on mimosas, and living in the moment. Rachel, Randi, and I love to try out new restaurants, and revisit places we love (we will miss you, Kitchen at Union Square). This past weekend, we tried a new location, the Broad Street Grille at The Chattanoogan.

Here’s what I thought:
We arrived at 12:30 p.m., couldn’t find a parking spot close by, so the free and friendly valet service was nice. One of the first things I noticed was the lovely lighting and comfortable seating. We started with mimosas and coffee, which were superb. It was such a plus that the brunch package includes endless mimosas!

After we ordered our drinks, we wasted no time and walked (ran) over to the buffet area. All three of us started off with breakfast. For the most part, it was delicious! I’m the least picky eater you will meet; however, I realized since it was buffet style, I didn’t pay attention to the description of each dish. If it looked appealing, I grabbed it. I should’ve thought twice about doing that. What I thought was fried chicken on top of the egg, bacon, and cheese biscuit was actually fried oyster. It didn't pair well with the breakfast food. The eggs were a little dry, but with all of the breakfast options, it didn’t matter to me. The toast and cinnamon buns melted in my mouth. They tasted candy-like, warm, and gooey. Overall, the breakfast food was delicious. Yum!

I waited a while before I moved onto the lunch portion. It was all tasty too! No complaints. I specifically loved the broccoli casserole. I could’ve had an entire plate of solely casserole. Onto dessert…

Each of us chose various desserts, and being the classy gals we are, tasted different ones off each other’s plates. My top two favorites were an easy win, the lemon squares and Oreo cheesecake. I didn’t taste a dessert that I didn’t like, even though the red velvet cake was a little too rich for me.

We had a great experience at The Broad Street Grille! I’m looking forward to it becoming a go-to brunch spot for us. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quality brunch spot and wants a bang for his or her buck. I encourage you to grab your closest friends or significant other, take a break from your smart phone, and enjoy each other’s company. Cheers to starting off the week just right!
