Okay...what is this thing?

Is it a one-piece bathing suit? A leotard? HELP.

Truth be told, this "item" was given to me because apparently I could "pull it off" *Ahem* Here goes nothing.

At first, I was a bit perplexed because most bodysuits and leotards are form-fitting, as Kim Kardashian so graciously loves to show us. However, this one is obviously loose-fitted, but nonetheless is a one-piece item that covers the torso and crotch, therefore confusing women of all types. The difference between a bodysuit and a leotard is the use of snaps or hooks at the crotch, but that's basically it.

Now, I want to tell you not to be afraid. I'm guilty of associating bodysuits and leotards with Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus, or I assume that the item is only meant to be worn for Halloween, then tucked away in a drawer for the next year.

The cool thing about bodysuits is that they cannot become untucked from trousers or a skirt. In fact, unless you're a runway model or a ballerina, they're meant to be worn with high-waisted pants and skirts. Best of all, there are so many ways to dress up or dress down the bodysuit, making it appropriate for the office or going out with friends.

Check out a couple of my favorite bodysuit looks, and don't be afraid to put the look to the test!
