The Oscars Critique

Two days ago, we watched the Academy Awards. Truth be told, we watched all of the pre-show red carpet appearances and maybe, uhhh, an hour of the awards. (You can admit it too.) Honestly, what woman doesn't love drooling over the Chanel, Tom Ford and Dillard's look-a-like gowns?! So now that you've had a day to filter through all of the fashion sites' red carpet critiques, you can finally humor yourself by reading our tastefully sarcastic opinion of the greatest and not-so-greatest Oscar looks. *Ahem* So here you have it, ladies. I present to you the "Charisma Chatt Oscar Superlatives":

1. Best dressed:

I just...I can't choose. Reese or Chrissy? Opposite looks both demanding jaw drops across the nation.

2. Most likely to be mistaken as an aquarium exhibit:

Gosh, talk about disappointing. After her incredible jumpsuit look at the Golden Globes, I had high hopes for Emma's Oscar-worthy gown, but this seaweed design is definitely not her best.

3. The Dillard's knock-off

Now, just because a dress looks like it could be sold in the Dillard's prom section does NOT mean it is an ugly gown. I mean, I got my prom dress from T.J. Maxx. The point is that, again, I was personally let down, but the dress is still elegant.

4. Mother of the bride goes sexy.

This gown reminded us of a mother of the bride gown...who also happens to be on Tinder.

5. Most likely to double as beach condo art

Lupito, you are one classy lady and this is one beautifully-crafted gown. I just couldn't help but wonder if it could also be turned into one of those side tables at your grandma's beach condo in Florida. Know what I mean?

6. Most likely to make you say, "What's wrong, daddy?"

This Wolf on Wall Street actress is stunning. Like is there a flaw in her 24-year-old self? I can't find one.

7. Where's the horse drawn carriage?

The first thing this gown reminded me of was a cobblestone street. Just squint your eyes and turn your head slightly to the left...see it?

8. Movie theater popcorn

Right when I saw this, I was immediately reminded of my number one weakness: movie theater popcorn. Kidman literally looks like a bag of buttery goodness in this dress.

9. Gone Girl on fire

As some of Gone Girl's biggest fans, we must admit that Rosamund killed the red carpet in this gorgeous gown. Red dresses flooded the awards show this year, but this one takes the cake.

10. Most likely to be casted in the next Spongebob movie

Ah, Lady Gaga, while this look is somewhat "tame" for you it still produced some incredible memes. For that, we applaud you
