Wow, 24 is here. I officially have one year to prepare for my quarter-life crisis. In my mind, I'm on the beaches of Cancun, soaking up the sun and sipping on a margarita. Well, I guess Chattanooga is the second best place to celebrate! So, since I have gained so much wisdom and knowledge over the past year, I have decided to share 24 things with you all that I've learned over the past year. Ready?
1. Chattanooga is the coolest town on the planet.
2. Friday nights are the epitome of chill. A little post-grad night I like to call "Chill Fridays"
3. It is possible to become a morning person. Or at least become great at pretending to be since you gotta be at the office by 8 a.m.
4. Always purchase kitchen trash bags with a draw string.
5. A bacon costume makes you the life of any Halloween party.
6. It really is okay to have just a few best friends.
7. Krystal's 5 for $5 deal will save your life.
8. Red wine >>>>white wine.
9. You're gonna make mistakes at your job. Own up to them and move on.
10. Working out sucks. But no one ever regrets doing it.
11. Take vitamins on the reg. or your entire house will become an infested hole.
12. A sparkly fake microphone makes the best conversation starter.
13. It's time to make the doctor's appointments that you dread.
14. The Neighbors is the funniest movie on the planet.
15. Networking events are awkward but always worth it. Be brave, my friends!
16. Always carry your business card. You look unprofessional when people ask you for them and you "left them in your car."
17. Invest in Walgreens stock. They basically own my wallet anyways.
18. If you live in Chatt and have never purchased a hot dog from Dave the hot dog man, find him outside of Hill City Pizza.
19. Find a hobby. Whatever your passionate about, pursue it!
20. Focus on your spiritual life. Without it, life is stagnant.
21. A crockpot is a working woman's best friend. Seriously.
22. Powdered coffee creamer is the closest thing to meth that I will ever experience.
23. Embrace your natural hair. I used to always straighten mine and felt insecure with my curly afro, but now I embrace it!
24. Mowing the grass is a man's job. Feminists, keep quiet.
