When life gives you lemons...make cute DIY kitchen towels. Right? There is nothing better than a Saturday afternoon summertime craft session; especially when it requires minimal supplies. Since us Charisma girls moved into our new apartment less than a month ago, we wanted to create something to add a personal yet summery touch.
This project is so easy to do, even for those who seem to find crafts challenging.
Here's what you need:
Lemon halves (Depending on how many colors you'd like. I used three colors.)
Multi surface paint (or fabric paint)
Paint brushes
Flour sack tea towels *You can use various types of citrus fruits besides lemons like limes, grapefruit, etc.

Before you brush on the paint, make sure to dab your lemon with a paper towel to dry it out. I actually let mine sit overnight which helped.
It took me a few tries to get the lemon stamp just right on the tea towels. It's best if you brush onto the outer rims first and then lightly on each lemon triangle one by one.

Don't add too much paint because then you will have no design and just a messy circle stamped onto the towel.

There you have it! Quick and easy. I LOVE the colors I chose for this project. When you try out this DIY for yourself, choose any colors you'd like!

What's your favorite summer DIY? We'd love to know!
