This past Sunday, I ventured over to The Bitter Alibi for brunch with my boyfriend, Justin. Last time I was there was a month ago on a Friday night. I always love the vibes of the place and the type of individuals that rally in. This genre of people have the spirit animal of a honey badger, are typically nice, and just want to have a good time. 'Cause honey badger don't care.

Even though I’ve been several times, I’ve never been there for brunch. I can proudly say I have officially lost my Bitter Alibi brunch virginity, and I’m not bitter about it at all.

Immediately upon looking at the menu, my mouth started drooling. Everything looked appealing to me. It’s usually easy for me to find something to order, and I typically gravitate to a certain ingredient I'm craving. Well, this time it was a little more tricky. Justin and I exchanged too many: "What are you gonna get? I don't know yet. How about you?" to the point where you get annoyed at yourself.

I ended up getting The Arnold which included toast, egg, espresso maple bacon, grilled tomato, and avocado cream. BAM. I put the first bite in my mouthand I wanted to stand up and scream "I'm soo excited!" like Jessie Spano from Saved By The Bell. Except I wasn't excited about taking pills to study, I was excited because I just put this goodness into my pie hole and it was amazing.

It was the perfect level of savory and just enough on the plate. I didn’t walk away feeling overly full, rather simply satisfied.

And heck, the coffee was phenomenal too. Strong and rich.

Do I want to be a Sunday regular here? Yes. Do I think you need to lose your Bitter Alibi brunch virginity too? Yes.

Next time I'm going I'm trying this:

The Fluffanutter. What is it? French toast, peanut butter, marshmallow cream, and berry reduction.

My mouth is now salivating, and I know yours is too...
